OurEvolution and strategic partner Alchemy Construction recently completed the successful installation of the first electric vehicle charging stations in the planned North Coast Electric Vehicle Charging Network. These stations, installed in the City of Arcata’s F St. Parking Lot and at GHD in Eureka, California at no cost to the host sites, were funded through a California Energy Commission (CEC) grant obtained by OurEvolution with support from the Redwood Coast Energy Authority (RCEA), Schatz Energy Research Center (SERC), the City of Arcata and GHD (Eureka, CA). OurEvolution has recently teamed with these entities to apply for additional state funds to install ten more charging stations at nine sites from Rio Dell to Trinidad in rural Humboldt County, California.
“Arcata strives to be on the cutting edge and we are so excited to see our community embrace electric vehicle technology,” says Arcata Mayor Mark Wheetley. “We’ve received many requests to install a charging station that supports the new cars on the market. Many thanks to OurEvolution for finding grant funding to purchase and install this new station at no cost to our community.”
